The French Geological Survey (BRGM)

The BRGM is an industrial and commercial public undertaking (EPIC). Its missions aim at improving knowledge of the subsurface, the management of natural resources and the prevention of surface and subsurface risks. Its spheres of activity is national and international. Since 2006, DGEC has delegated to the BRGM the management of hydrocarbon data.

The BOUSSENS core repository

Established  near BOUSSENS, this site, as a privileged partner in the development of the TOTAL S.A core repository, possesses an organizational structure and professional conservation facilities that are specially adapted for the archiving of geological specimens. The secure building can accommodate up to 200,000 linear metres of samples on rack-shelving. This site retains the cores handed over to the administration by the operators.

IFP Energies Nouvelles (IFPEN)

The IFPEN  is an industrial and commercial public undertaking (EPIC). Its sphere of activity is essentially international, covering the fields of energy, transport and the environment. Since its first submission in 2006, IFPEN has collaborated on the EXTRAPLAC project, the French program for the extension of the continental shelf under an agreement with the Ministry.

French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea (IFREMER)

Ifremer is an integrated public institute of research in marine sciences. From fundamental to applied research in the industry, Ifremer evaluates and develops ocean resources to allow their sustainable exploitation. Since its first submission in 2006, IFREMER has collaborated on the EXTRAPLAC project, the French program for the extension of the continental shelf under an agreement with the Ministry.

National Institute for Environmental Technology and Hazards (INERIS)

INERIS is an industrial and commercial public undertaking (EPIC). Its mission is to contribute to the prevention of risks brought about by economic activities affecting health, the safety of persons and property, as well as the environment. INERIS intervenes with study and consulting services on behalf of the Ministry.
